After working as a makeup adviser at a large cosmetics company, Ayako started her career as a wedding planner producing wedding ceremonies and receptions in Japan. She used what she learned about American weddings in numerous visits to New York to plan New York-style weddings in Japan. Ayako is also a dress designer, and buys dresses and accessories from various countries. As a fashion stylist, she provides coaching and advice to professional beauticians.
Ayako is in demand as a lecturer and consultant to Japanese companies. She recently established a company in New York, where she produces Asian-style wedding ceremonies and receptions.
